Publications and Media
Through my writing and publications, I have showcased my understanding and ongoing commitment to learning more about of various aspects of the industry, including cargo control, safety, and technology. I hope that my work has positively contributed to the industry.
I have written on topics such as cargo alarm systems, designing cargo control rooms, and cargo control room human-machine interfaces, which have allowed me to delve into the technical aspects of the industry. I present these concepts clearly and concisely so they are easily understandable.
Moreover, I have written articles on gCaptain.com about broader issues facing the industry, such as plastic waste in the ocean, crew fatigue, leadership, and training. I am committed to these broad, significant issues, and we must address them to help shape the industry's future.
Recently, I was honored to have one of my publications featured in the Nautical Institute's Seaways Magazine. In this publication, I discussed the importance of technology in supporting maritime operations, safety, and training. I believe the industry needs to embrace evolving technologies to make solutions for safety and efficiency more accessible.
While I recognize that I have much to learn, I am enthusiastic about continuing to contribute to the maritime community. I hope my perspective and insights can be of value to others in the industry. I am grateful for opportunities that come my way to make a positive impact in crafting an inclusive, safe, smooth, and sustainable ocean industry.
